I made this hat about two weekends ago while frank and i were hanging out with Kevin_friend. I will probably sell on etsy as it is not really my style and is a little big on me. But it's sooo comfy and warm...


other things i'm working on:
-figuring out my new camera
-haircut today...and photos by tomorrow
-working on a pattern for handspun knit kits...(oooh!)
-posting a few yarns and many hats on etsy.
-getting some screenprinting time in...have to set up the compaq so i can use photoshop
-tenative handmade show on august 1st

summer things:
-possible Reno trip
-probably not camping this year :(

crouched on mossy rock
the highway mimics the sea
a shell to your ear

a bear in winter
loudly stumbling into sleep,
falls, covered in bees.

saint and sailor...summers reminiscing...

freckled summers:
turning stones
blackberries staining fingers and lips
firefly rings
exploring cupboards and jars
filled by the world before me;

chapped lips and skinned knees
blanket forts and paper planes
hiding behind cottonwood trees 
dreaming of whales and galaxies;  

blue calico curtains, edges frayed
old ghosts
someone to read with
secret treasures and whispering secrets;

the scent of cornfields in late summer(always)
walking the creek bed
taking minnows for goldfish
believing the world an ocean

the brown car, the red car,
the Cadillac.

a garden of my own
